Information on training beagel dogs

Dog training is more of an art than a science. There is a level of skill that ought to be put in your obedience training program that can be the difference between success and failure.

Many people think that a dog training program implies bribing and begging their puppy to respond positively. Your dog would like you to believe this but it is untrue. The pooch oftentimes hesitates to do the command called for and will probably acquire a personality that is not favorable for a family pet.

If you approach this with a heavy hand, you can make an unfriendly pooch, or a nervous and shy pet if you are lucky.

The ideal method for dog obedience training is a consistent practice of reward and punishment. Trainers using this method will use treats and toys to introduce the puppy to the dog training process. this specific is the stage in which the dog becomes familiar with the first basic commands such as sit and stay, etc.

If the pooch decides it wants to do its own thing and decides not to follow commands, the pup will be taught that they may have to be corrected, typically by a choker collar and lead. The act of correction should be utilized as a last resort and only if and when the puppy refuses to postively react to a command that they already know. This one lesson is key. The correction of a command you give that the pooch is not comfortable with only provides a feeling of confusion.

It is highly recommended that you establish yourself as the leader of your systems pack. Once you establish this particular role, your puppy can be assured that he is being treated with respect and by a set of rules instituted by the leader. A good trainer will keep that leadership role or risk losing control of the dogs behavior.

Consistency and fairness are the gateways to good training. You should target to be as consistent as humanly possible. Never disregard a disobedient behavior at one time and correct the puppy for the same conduct at another time. This just adds to your puppys confusion. The perfect position is to create a correction within a minute of the offending conduct, not a prolonged time from the undesirable act. Remember, a puppy learns by consistent repetition.

A super important portion of the dog obedience training experience is to recognize the intensity of correction needed. If a basic NO is told to the dog and addresses the bad behavior, then more correction should not be required. On the other hand, a serious violation like snapping at a house guest may take a much harsher correction.

Bottom line, puppy training comes down to learning when and how to reprimand or correct your puppy. your primary dog training aim is to gain the respect of your dog and produce a mannerly, friendly pup.
